Many of the dogs seem to prefer the Kong (which has a tennis ball inside it) but Zeus seems to prefer loose tennis balls, especially old smelly lost tennis balls he hunts and finds in the tall grass areas where he emerges with as many as 3 in his mouth at one time. Still, I try to discourage tennis balls as I've been told the yellow fuzz gets stuck between dogs' teeth and attracts bacteria which causes tooth decay.
Addendum - For several years recently I was up into Wisconsin for months at a time. I noticed the "green" of Wisconsin that was particular to it. It is of a certain hue and brightness. And has each State it's own particular "green" hue - Colorado, Florida, Maine, etc. Your camera perfectly captures the green hue of Wisconsin.
After the flying-action shot I was hoping he ended up with the ball.

A trifecta of color.
ReplyDeleteBrook in a stare-down?
@Meade: do you happen to know the name of that toy I see so many of the dogs here playing with? Seems like most of them really like it, thanks.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a jolly ball. ...yes?
ReplyDeleteThat's close, but not quite it; take a look at the toy they are playing with a little closer.
Delete...but one for dogs.....
ReplyDeleteIt's a KONG Jumbler Ball Round Medium Large Dog Toy.
ReplyDeleteDo they prefer the Kong to tennis balls. Lab next door looooves tennis balls but I'm wondering if I should get her the Kong just for a change..
